Privacy Policy

StayPrep is a cleaning and turnover management tool for short-stay rental operators, operated by Clear Step Digital Ltd. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell personal data and we do not use your data for third-party advertising. For any privacy question or request, email privacy@clearstepdigital.com.

Data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, optional phone number, role and working hours.
• Operational data: properties, units, cleaning tasks, checklists, reported issues and photos you upload.
• Booking data: check-in/check-out dates, guest first name and platform reference imported from calendar feeds you connect (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and similar).
• Calendar data: if you connect Google Calendar, we create and update events for your own assigned cleans. We never read unrelated events.
• Diagnostics: error and sync logs used to keep the service reliable.

How we use it

Solely to run the service: generating cleaning schedules, assigning staff, sending reminders, syncing calendars and providing an audit trail to your workspace administrators. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Sharing

Data is visible to members of your own workspace according to their role — cleaners see only their own jobs and the units they work on. We use infrastructure providers (hosting, database, authentication, email) that process data on our behalf under contract. We disclose data otherwise only when legally required.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your sign-in credentials, profile, role and calendar connection, and releases jobs assigned to you. Operational records belonging to the property owner (bookings, completed cleans) are retained by that workspace for its own bookkeeping, without your personal identifiers. You may also email us to request deletion.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is enforced per-row per-user at the database level, and passwords are checked against known breach lists at sign-up.

Children

StayPrep is a workplace tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@clearstepdigital.com or via the Support page and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

We will update this page and the date above if this policy changes materially, and notify workspace administrators in-app.
